Project Summary |
1999年の開設以来、東京都八王子市恩方地域で障がい者福祉事業を展開してきた恩方育成園では、利用者の高齢化や建物の老朽化、2人1部屋となっている居室環境の改善などの課題を背景に、敷地内で新たな入居施設「おんがたメゾン」の整備を計画しています。今回のプロジェクトでは、こうした施設内の課題解決にとどまらず、獣害の増加や子ども・学生の居場所不足といった恩方地域が抱える課題にも着目し、敷地内にはジビエの解体・加工施設「じびおん」を計画するとともに、公園や調整池の改修を通じて、子どもや学生が安心して過ごせる居場所づくりなど計画しています。また、敷地内に新しくできる拠点や居場所と地域をつなぐ「にわみち」を整備することで、施設利用者と地域住民が日常の中で緩やかに関わり合える環境を育み、共に支え合う新たな関係づくりを目指しています。
Since its establishment in 1999, Ongata Ikuseien has provided welfare services for people with disabilities in the Ongata area of Hachioji, Tokyo. In response to challenges such as the aging of residents, the deterioration of existing buildings, and the need to improve living conditions where two residents currently share one room, the organization is planning a new residential facility within its existing site.
This project goes beyond addressing the internal needs of the facility by also responding to challenges faced by the surrounding Ongata community, including the increasing impact of wildlife damage and the lack of places where children and students can spend time safely. The plan includes a game processing and facility for gibier, as well as the renovation of existing parks and a regulating pond to create welcoming spaces where children and students can gather and feel at ease.
In addition, by developing pathways that connect the newly created facilities within the site, the project aims to foster an environment where facility users and local residents can naturally interact in their everyday lives, creating new relationships of mutual support and connection.
